are you impatient? other encoding programs take too long? then try mplifier! man, is it fast! and that's not a question either. it will encode a 4 minute song in under 2 minutes! blade enc will take over 10 minutes to encode the same song. i've used both programs on the same songs and i can't tell the difference. so needless to say, i use mplifier for encoding! ----- i will warn you though that it has been unstable at times and has frozen windows on me once in awhile, to the point where i just hit the reset button. ----- but you know, that's ok. why??? well... say i had 10 songs to encode, if i started mplifier, tried to encode and it freezes. i hit reset, windows reboots, i start encoding again. i will be done with my 10 songs before blade enc is even one-third done with those same songs and no rebooting! ----- blade enc is a very very good encoder!! no doubt about that! but to my ears, the mp3z sound the same encoded with mplifier or blade enc. ----- i think it has memory leaks when it freezes, so i just close out un-necessary background programs, and make deliberate, slow mouse movements when i use mplifier, and that seems to help. ----- it might sound like a lot of fuss to you, but it is worth it to me [ok, so there is no accounting for personal taste] it is literally 10 times faster and saves alot of time! something i never have enough of. so... mplifier mp3 encoder : 998KB zipped download or...
